Welcome to Citron & Rose Tavern & Market. We are a community restaurant, bar and market serving the residents of Greater Philadelphia and Main Line suburban. We are glatt kosher, under the supervision of the Community Kashrus of Greater Philadelphia (Keystone-K).
The restaurant is a re-opening and re-imagining of Citron & Rose, the restaurant launched in 2012 by Philadelphia philanthropist David Magerman and James Beard Award-winning chef, Michael Solomonov. The new incarnation of C&R has a broad American menu with traditional comfort food, great steaks, bar food, and a delicious non-dairy dessert menu. We also have a large bar stocked with local beers on tap, specialty cocktails, and a broad selection of wine and liquor.
Our building has served as a restaurant to the community for decades, first as the Tavern, and later as The New Tavern, both owned and operated by our neighbor and friend, Nick Zarvalas. During extensive renovations, we uncovered a wealth of Main Line Philadelphia history. Some of the artifacts are on display in the restaurant.
If you have been a long-time patron of Nick's Tavern restaurants, please introduce yourself. We'll be happy to serve you again!
